Located just two miles from downtown Saratoga, Quarry Park is a portal to the past and a great place to explore, play, and learn.
The Saratoga Quarry was closed in 1967, and the county employees used the site for recreational activities with their families and friends. They installed and maintained picnic tables, barbecue pits, and sitting areas, and enjoyed the park till 1990.
The park reopened in October 2015, and today you too can enjoy its trails and history.
Kids Activity: There are many different trees and plants in the park, encourage your child to collect different leaves, pine cones and more.
Don't forget to pack your breakfast or lunch, and enjoy your meal at one of the picnic tables, with a view to Santa Cruz mountains.
The park open daily, from sunrise to sunset.
